With over 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, Clara has risen from humble beginnings to become a Certified Public Accountant and business leader. She started her career in public accounting and achieving success in both the public and private sectors. She has worked in various industries including financial services, entertainment, and commercial software.
Clara has helped businesses by not only applying her accounting expertise and by introducing value driven communication, helping organizations better define their culture and elevate collaborative performance. She holds various certifications and designations, including Certified Exit Planning Advisor. In 2019 she was honored by the American Institute of CPAs as a member of Leadership Academy. One of less than 40 in her class, she received training in strategic planning, team-building, communication, and professional development.
In her free time Clara enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children. She is passionate about bringing diverse perspectives into the corporate world and helping individuals from underestimated communities find empowerment. She is the Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee at the New York State Society of CPAs, where she has been a volunteer for years. She also volunteers with American Institute of CPAs and other organizations, including Harlem Educational Activities Fund.
